Do You Suffer From Any of the Following:

I
f you want to

regain your health

and/or

need to lose weight

and have tried just about everything with minimal results,

The Wellness Weight-Loss Connection

may finally be the safe solution to your problem.

The Wellness Weight-Loss Connection is a drug-free program created by our practice director, Dr. Michael Wild. A natural system of attaining and maintaining a healthy body & healthy weight, his method will help you understand why your body becomes internally imbalanced & ill, often storing fat in particular trouble spots...and, most importantly...how to overcome it. Using a unique “system survey analysis” and computer-aided functional neurological assessment, he will uncover which of your organs and glands are unhealthy, possibly leading to pain ,sickness, and hormone imbalances that cause excess weight to cling to specific parts of your frame.

Take heart though, these unhealthy imbalances can be remedied…safely, naturally, and

without the use of dangerous drugs or anything artificial.

The Wellness Weight-Loss Connection includes a 12-week program that involves a doctor-guided individual exercise and nutritional program, as well as specific whole-food supplement recommendations, all designed for your individual physical blueprint. By following your personally tailored nutrition and exercise plan, you'll become leaner, stronger, healthier and happier.

Do you understand the connection between wellness and weight-loss? Do you know how to use it to your advantage? To safely and naturally attain your personal best level of health...and maintain your optimum weight level...once and for all?

Very few people do.

That's why we all know someone who has been struggling for years with less than optimal health, and very commonly...more than optimal weight. They usually end up "eating like a bird" and "exercising like a dog"...all to no avail. They are often extremely frustrated, and resort to trying every new drug or diet idea that comes along (even dangerous ones), only to fail once again, "yo-yo"ing  right back to where they started...or worse yet...even heavier and less healthy than they were before!

After seeing this happen over and over again to patients in my practice...people I cared deeply about...I decided all this unsafe, unhealthy dieting insanity had to end. Somewhere in the back of my mind, I could recall a connection between obesity and the major illnesses plaguing the majority of Americans: heart disease, stroke, diabetes, & cancer. I began studying human physiology and biochemistry all over again, just like I was back in school, sure that I would re-learn something I had forgotten long ago...something to help me aid these individuals who needed a healthier path to follow. After years of researching the mechanisms of fat formation & metabolism, studying the effects of stressful lifestyles on our health, well-being, and weight...and shedding new light on the roles of neurology and nutrition in keeping us well and thin...I finally discovered what I'd been searching for so intently:

A series of 3 grave mistakes.

Mistakes that the overwhelming majority of people were committing over and over...day after day, that were actually preventing them from ever attaining the body they were so desperately trying to achieve. It was so simple, I almost missed it.

Mistake #1: For years you have been misled that you need to lose weight in order to be healthy, when in fact...you actually need to be healthy in order to lose weight.

Do you get it? You need to be healthy first...your organs and glands involved with fat burning & storing must be functioning properly, in optimum balance with each other first...or you will never be able to reach and maintain a healthy weight. This is a key concept...very simple, yet crucial in attaining a fit body...that is misunderstood by the masses.

Mistake #2: current common medical thinking would have you believe that obesity is the cause of heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and cancer...and if you could just lose the weight somehow (even through crazy crash diets, or with the aid of potentially dangerous drugs), you would be "healthy".

On the contrary...my research revealed something entirely different, if not actually the opposite. When people went on rapid weight loss plans designed to quickly shed unsightly fat or dramatically drop dress sizes, without concern for the actually correction of underlying internal organ and gland imbalances, the weight not only ultimately returned...but shot back up with a vengeance. This yo-yo effect significantly puts further strain on your vital organs and glands...and get this...increases your risk of developing heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and cancer!

So...what's the real connection between obesity and the common major illnesses mentioned above?

Current medical research reveals that obesity is indeed related to these serious diseases, but not in the way you might think. While being overweight can intensify these other problems, it's not the cause of these diseases. Simply put, obesity is simply another one of the problems themselves. You see, obesity...like heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and cancer... are all equal symptoms, or results, of a deeper common problem: Metabolic Syndrome, and the silent sinister body dysfunction slowly leading up to it.

Metabolic Syndrome, also known as “Syndrome X”, may be an unfamiliar term, but it is the most pervasive health problem in the U.S. with approximately 60 million Americans affected. The numbers grow larger each year, and many children are now developing symptoms as well.

What is it?

According to the American Medical Association, anyone with any three of the following has Metabolic Syndrome:

  •  Waist measurement of 40 inches or greater in men, and 35 inches or greater in women.
  •  Serum triglycerides level greater than 150mg/dl.
  •  HDL cholesterol less than 40 mg/dl. in men, and less than 50mg/dl in women.
  •  Blood pressure of 135/85 mm Hg. or greater
  •  Fasting serum glucose (blood sugar) of 100mg/dl or higher, or HbA1c approaching 6.0

The central issue in Metabolic Syndrome is control of blood sugar. This is not just the glucose value on your blood test, but how much insulin is needed to keep the glucose level within normal limits. Also important is how much glucose is in your system over time (HbA1c). As Metabolic Syndrome begins to take hold of your body, your organ and gland functions slowly but surely starts to slide downhill...long before typical lab tests would "red flag" you as unhealthy. Recent research recommends that your lab tests be evaluated against a "functional range"...the span of numbers that shows us when you are beginning to malfunction...rather than wait until the damage is done. In this way, we can identify unhealthy trends and take safe, natural steps to freeze them in their tracks...and more importantly...reverse them.

What causes Metabolic Syndrome?

The primary cause is poor diet, especially excessive consumption of refined carbohydrates that rapidly convert to blood sugar. Contributing factors include stress (and the inability to handle it in a healthy way), improper exercise for your unique body type and cardiopulmonary capacity, and vitamin and mineral deficiencies. Over time, the body loses its ability to normally metabolize carbohydrates, thus more and more insulin is required to do the same work. This phenomenon is called “insulin resistance”.

What can this syndrome do to your health?

Weight gain is the most noticeable effect...and where you carry that excess fat is determined by which organs and glands are being most stressed. For example, are you stuffing a "muffin top" into your pants...or squeezing "saddle bag" thighs into your jeans? Are you tucking a "basketball" of a belly under your loose hanging shirt, or been mistaken for being pregnant? Is sagging fat seemingly beginning to form all over, from your face to your feet? Each of these patterns of fat accumulation points to a specific pattern of ill health, related to a specific organ or gland dysfunction.

Hidden systemic inflammation...leading to hypertension (high blood pressure), atherosclerosis (hardening of your arteries), fatty liver disease, kidney damage, increased coagulability of the blood (clot formation), and diabetes...also has significant ties to Metabolic Syndrome.

There are also some additional connections to hormones: too much insulin in men can lead to a decrease in "testosterone", resulting in a low sex drive and loss of muscle mass. Elevated triglycerides can block "leptins" (hunger related hormones) from telling the brain that enough food has been consumed and, without this communication, overeating can occur. Cortisol - the stress hormone - may cause glucose to be elevated, even when no food has been eaten recently, by causing your body to "eat" you own lean muscle mass. This will cause muscle deterioration in both men and women.

Out of approximately 600 hormones made by the human body, only 9 deal primarily with the ability of your body to metabolize fat...6 fat burning & 3 fat storing. Your lifestyle largely affects the ability of your organs and glands to secrete and balance these fat hormones. Did you know that if you do anything to trigger just 1 of the fat storing hormones, you also effectively turn off all 6 fat burning hormones...shutting down your ability to to lose that fat and gain a fit body. The most common mistake is doing the wrong exercise for your particular body type and cardiopulmonary capacity.

Analyzing your lifestyle (including your ability to handle stress, your sleep patterns, your diet, and your exercise routines) plays an important role in dampening the inflammatory state related to Metabolic Syndrome, and simultaneously evaluating your ability to ignite your fat-burning furnace.

What can help you lose unhealthy fat, drop unsightly pounds, & reverse Metabolic Syndrome?

The Wellness Weight-Loss Connection & a wellness weight-loss protocol created specifically for youThe Wellness Weight Loss Connection is unlike any health optimization or weight-loss system you have experienced before. I have created a comprehensive approach to defeat this stealthy sickness, and the unwanted weight gain that goes along with it.

Mistake #3: Believing that the answer to fat loss is one-size-fits-all: simply "eat less and exercise more".

Not only is this approach not effective for most people for long-term sustained weight management, it will actually cause some to increase their fat storage

The foundation of our program is built upon 5 pillars: Nutrition, Neurology, Hormone Health, Emotions, & Exercise. Each of these areas must be addressed for optimum results...excellent health...and sustained weight loss. This program focuses on your unique needs, as determined by assessing your individual biomarkers and your organ / gland related body type,as well as your own cardiopulmonary capacity, to establish a protocol specific to you.  Fortunately there are a number of naturally-derived supplements (including whole-food based nutrients*), along with a unique dietary and safe exercise program, that will enable the body to use insulin more effectively and aid in limiting harm.

However, the plan is not the same for everyone. Most of the time, your individual plan can be created through the use of non-invasive exam procedures and in-depth questionairres. The resultant 12-week personalized wellness & weight-loss plan will enable you to look, feel, and be your best. If your health problems are complex and we believe they may prevent you from getting the typical results we expect from our 12-week program, we may recommend additional testing. Blood work, as well as urine, stool, or saliva testing may be necessary to completely understand the complexities of your body dysfunction. We will use these results to uncover the roadblocks to your ability to be healthy and lose fat, and craft a plan to remove them.  We will consider multiple personal lifestyle factors when building a program to suite your individual needs...your very own wellness & weight-loss solution...so you can be finally fit, just for the "health" of it!

*It is important to note that synthetically-derived supplements (such as those commonly purchased in supermarkets, and even in most health-food stores) are not as effective in correcting this syndrome, and may even lead to more harm than good, due to the body’s inability to completely assimilate and metabolize artificially fractionated, isolated nutrients.
